What Is A Community Property Agreement?

Community Property Agreement is a contract that a married couple in a community property state signs, as a couple, in order to specify how they want their property to be classified.

The property will either be deemed as “community property”, owned jointly by both partners and divided upon divorce, annulment, or death; or “separate property” which means the property will be owned exclusively by one spouse.
